About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a clear focus on Biology.
- Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that incorporate practical investigations, dissections (where appropriate and ethically considered), data analysis, and discussions of current biological issues.
- Assess student progress through lab reports, presentations, and assessments, providing constructive feedback to enhance their understanding of biological principles.
- Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives to promote a love of science.

Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science with a strong background and specialism in Biology.
- A good understanding of the secondary science curriculum and effective teaching strategies specifically for Biology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex biological concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Strong practical skills and experience in laboratory work, including the safe and effective execution of biological experiments.
- A passion for biology and a commitment to fostering scientific curiosity and critical thinking in students.
