A progressive Independent School in Camden is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful PE Teacher will promote physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging PE Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a wide range of sports and physical activities.
- Prepare students for practical assessments and examinations in physical education and sports science.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment in physical activity for all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress in PE, providing constructive and encouraging feedback as a PE Teacher.
- Contribute to the organisation of extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and school sports events.
- Promote the importance of physical health and well-being across the school community.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Physical Education.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching PE at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
- A strong knowledge of various sports, fitness activities, and health education principles.
- Excellent communication, motivational, and coaching skills essential for engaging students in physical activity.
- Ability to inspire students of varying athletic abilities and promote a positive attitude towards PE.
- A commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the PE department.
