The successful Design & Technology Teacher (Engineering) will inspire female students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their understanding of engineering principles and practical skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging Design & Technology Teacher (Engineering) lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE Design & Technology, focusing on the engineering specialism.
- Develop students' understanding of engineering concepts, materials, and design processes.
- Assess and monitor student progress in engineering, providing constructive feedback as a Design & Technology Teacher (Engineering).
- Contribute to the evolution of the design and technology curriculum, specifically within engineering.
- Maintain a safe and well-equipped engineering workshop environment for student learning.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology, with a strong emphasis on Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4), with a focus on engineering.
- Strong practical abilities in a range of engineering processes and a good understanding of design methodologies.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills essential for managing a practical subject.
- Ability to inspire female students' creativity and technical proficiency within the field of engineering.
