About the Role:
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical science lessons and demonstrations across all key stages.
- Ensure the safe storage and maintenance of laboratory equipment and chemicals.
- Provide technical assistance to teachers and students during practical sessions.
- Carry out risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage and maintain laboratory resources and equipment.
- Support the Science department with administrative tasks and stock control.
Ideal Candidate:
- Relevant qualifications in science or laboratory technology (e.g., NVQ, BTEC).
- Experience working as a science technician in a school or laboratory setting.
- Strong practical skills and knowledge of laboratory procedures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A commitment to health and safety.
