About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Art lessons across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating diverse artistic practices and styles.
- Plan and deliver lessons that foster creativity, artistic skills, and critical thinking, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and digital art.
- Assess student progress through artwork, presentations, and written work, providing detailed feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum, integrating current artistic trends and diverse artistic practices, and participate in departmental planning.
- Organize and lead art exhibitions, workshops, and gallery visits, promoting student engagement and artistic expression.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Art and Design subject knowledge, including various artistic mediums and techniques.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Art to A-Level, with a focus on both practical skills and theoretical understanding.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and artistic skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression.
