Your Role:
🔹 Plan and deliver engaging and accessible Design & Technology lessons tailored to students with SpLD.
🔹 Use practical, hands-on teaching methods to inspire creativity and problem-solving skills.
🔹 Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of learning styles, ensuring all students can achieve their potential.
🔹 Work closely with SEN specialists, therapists, and support staff to create a holistic learning experience.
🔹 Encourage students’ confidence, independence, and resilience through innovative DT projects.
🔹 Assess and track student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
✅ Experience teaching Design & Technology, ideally in an SEN or specialist setting.
✅ A strong understanding of SpLD and how to adapt teaching for students with diverse learning needs.
✅ A creative, practical, and flexible approach to teaching.
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
