Your Role as a Year 6 Teacher
As our new Year 6 Teacher, you will:
✅ Plan and deliver challenging and engaging lessons that prepare students for SATs and secondary school.
✅ Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where all children feel valued and encouraged to achieve their best.
✅ Develop pupils’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills.
✅ Provide targeted support and interventions to ensure all students make progress.
✅ Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and address gaps in learning.
✅ Foster a growth mindset, resilience, and a love for learning among pupils.
✅ Work collaboratively with the KS2 team to ensure a smooth transition to secondary school.
✅ Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to support each child’s academic and personal development.
What We’re Looking For
✔ A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
✔ Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in a Year 6 setting.
✔ A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, SATs preparation, and transition to secondary school.
✔ A creative and engaging teaching style that excites and motivates learners.
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to collaborate.
✔ A commitment to creating an inclusive and high-achieving learning environment.
