We are now seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 3 Teacher (Part-Time) to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis from March 2025.
Role Overview
As a Year 3 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, ensuring that all pupils are engaged, motivated, and making excellent progress. Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and well-structured lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and inspired to learn.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
- Promote curiosity, independent learning, and a growth mindset among pupils.
Pupil Progress & Assessment
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform lesson planning and targeted support.
- Provide constructive feedback to pupils and parents to support learning and development.
- Work with colleagues and leadership to implement interventions where necessary.
Classroom & Behaviour Management
- Set high expectations for behaviour and maintain a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Implement school behaviour policies effectively to promote a culture of responsibility and mutual respect.
- Develop strong relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
Collaboration & Professional Development
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity and share best practices.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities where required.
- Engage with parents and carers to build strong home-school partnerships that support pupil progress.
School Contribution
- Participate in school activities, trips, and events to enhance the learning experience.
- Contribute to the wider school community, supporting whole-school initiatives and values.
- Uphold the school’s ethos and act as a positive role model for pupils.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 3.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Desirable:
- Experience in a part-time or job-share teaching role.
- Understanding of SEND and EAL teaching strategies.
- Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school initiatives.
