About the Role:
As a part-time Physical Education ECT, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured PE lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a variety of sports and fitness activities. You will develop and adapt resources to meet the diverse fitness levels and interests of students, promoting active participation and healthy lifestyles. You will assess student progress through practical assessments, fitness tests, and participation in team sports, providing timely and constructive feedback. You will also participate in the school’s ECT program, including regular mentor meetings and professional development, and contribute to departmental meetings and extracurricular sports activities.
Ideal Candidate:
You should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Physical Education, with a strong understanding of sports science and fitness training. Excellent communication and practical skills are crucial, as is the ability to inspire and motivate students to participate in sports. You should also possess a commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn from experienced coaches.
