Your Role as a KS3 SEN Teacher:
🔹 Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning needs.
🔹 Create a supportive and structured learning environment, using a range of SEN strategies to support student development.
🔹 Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to implement personalised education plans (EHCPs).
🔹 Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture, promoting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.
🔹 Use adaptive teaching methods to encourage independence and confidence in learning.
🔹 Engage with parents and carers to ensure a collaborative approach to student progress.
🔹 Contribute to the wider school community, supporting school initiatives and extra-curricular activities.
Who We’re Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching KS3 students.
✅ A strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and the SEND Code of Practice.
✅ Experience working with students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs.
✅ A creative, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
✅ Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
