Elder Abuse Attorney
Career Consulting Partners is partnered with a successful Injury law firm that has over 300 5-star reviews on Google, providing legal representation to clients across 40 + cities throughout California, and a staff of 40+ employees. We are in search of an experienced Elder Abuse Attorney to grow the department. We are open to both plaintiff and defense attorneys. You must be able to travel throughout all of California to attend court hearings and depositions, litigate trials, and conduct arbitrations. Prior experience is crucial.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- A strong background in handling cases involving elder abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation, with a commitment to advocating for the rights of vulnerable individuals.
- Represent clients in cases of elder abuse, including physical, emotional, and financial abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
- Conduct thorough investigations, interviews, and case analyses to develop comprehensive litigation strategies.
- Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Appear in court for hearings, mediations, and trials as necessary.
- Collaborate with clients, families, medical professionals, and expert witnesses to build strong cases.
- Provide legal counsel to clients and their families, explaining rights, options, and potential outcomes.
- Stay updated on changes in California elder law and relevant statutes, including the Elder Abuse and Dependent Adult Civil Protection Act (EADACPA).
- Negotiate settlements or pursue litigation to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 + years experience in elder abuse, personal injury, or civil litigation
- Excellent organizational skills and time management are a must.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines while multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
- Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing
- Juris Doctor (JD) Degree
- Demonstrated knowledge of California elder abuse laws, including EADACPA.
- Experience working with elder care facilities, healthcare providers, or government agencies.
- Familiarity with related areas of law, such as trust and estate disputes or financial fraud.
COMPENSATION BENEFITS:
- Salary Compensation: $130,000 - $180,000
