Your Mission as a Drilling Engineering Coordinator
As a Drilling Engineering Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing drilling operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Your expertise will be pivotal in preparing and executing drilling programs, managing contracts, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as Drilling Engineering Coordinator
- Prepare Call for Tender for purchase of equipment and services contracts related to drilling operations.
- Design and prepare drilling work programs, selecting equipment and estimating costs for each well.
- Ensure administrative coordination between the drilling department and related services contracts.
- Maintain QA/QC of stored engineering data.
- Conduct feasibility studies on future wells and new technologies.
- Coach and train junior drilling engineers in writing drilling programs, preparing CFT packages, and estimating AFE costs for wells.
- Review End of Well Reports.
- Establish drilling benchmarks and monitor KPIs and ALIs.
- Serve as the primary link for data entry and equivalent tasks.
- Collaborate with Corporate Planning on long-term projects and conduct risk assessments.
- Update well profiles and engineering files in the drilling department software.
- Prepare drilling feasibility, TD, and hydraulics calculations for future ERD or subsea wells.
- Focus on knowledge management to capture drilling experiences.
- Represent new technologies in drilling operations.
- Prepare input for TCM MCM presentations.
- Prepare material for workshops with stakeholders.
- Contribute to the FDP input for the drilling section.
Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as Drilling Engineering Coordinator
- B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience in drilling activities, both in the field and office environments.
- Proficient in English (verbal and written communication).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Skilled in using LANDMARK software.
- Strong team working skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
- Understanding of modeling techniques and methods.
- Good knowledge of contracts and financial aspects related to drilling operations.
- Eager to train and share expertise with junior staff.
