We’re seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the procurement of wind turbines during the realization phase of our projects. As a key member of the procurement team, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing commercial topics and risk, and execute the procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing the procurement strategy for wind turbine supply agreements (TSA) and service & maintenance agreements (SMA), including exploring opportunities to optimize pricing through project bundling
- Leading the planning, procurement, and negotiation of TSA and SMA contracts
- Managing stakeholder relationships and collaborating with project managers, engineers, investment officers, and legal advisors
- Defining insurance scope and securing necessary coverage for wind farm construction
- Identifying and mitigating commercial and interface risks in the contracts
- Supporting the Construction Project Manager in budget planning, scheduling, and risk management
- Providing recommendations to optimize engineering decisions on scope and pricing
- Communicating closely with the end-investor to align on procurement expectations
- Analyzing and documenting supplier information, including credit risk and order backlog
- Identifying areas for process improvements to gain a competitive advantage
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar procurement role, preferably in the wind energy industry
- Expert knowledge in negotiations, commercial management, and contract risk management
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and planning skills
- In-depth understanding of commercial aspects, construction/supply contracts, and wind turbine technology
- Good knowledge of claim management and legal aspects related to contracts
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
