Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Salary Range:
$80,000 $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of multiple technical projects. In this role, you'll assist Project Managers with documentation, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and logistics to ensure successful and efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize project documentation, including compliance records, schedules, labor reports, change orders, and quality control logs
- Conduct regular visits to project sites to monitor progress and support field teams
- Track subcontractor and mechanical installation progress; report updates to management
- Develop and manage change orders, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Coordinate procurement and material logistics with internal teams and subcontractors
- Attend project meetings and record minutes; provide regular updates to the management team
- Monitor project schedules, personnel needs, and milestone completion
- Support technical leads in resolving issues and addressing site-specific requirements
- Analyze project data and trends to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains
Required Qualifications:
- 1 - 5 years of experience in project management, ideally within HVAC or mechanical systems
- Understanding of basic project management principles (PM 101)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to interpret and create custom Gantt charts and read project schedules
- Familiarity with bidding processes and project management documentation
- Ability to read Bills of Materials (BOMs) and control drawings
- Experience in logistics, procurement, and scheduling
- Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration
- Strong communication skills, including professional writing and reporting
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Smartsheets
- Data analysis skills, particularly using Python
- Understanding of commissioning processes and HVAC installation
- Familiarity with project phase classifications and best practices in materials management
