About the Role:
- Teach Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5, with the possibility of contributing to PSHE lessons.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including experiments, discussions, case studies, and research projects, to bring Psychology to life for students.
- Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
- Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Psychology curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
- Foster a love of Psychology in students, encouraging them to explore different psychological perspectives and develop their understanding of human behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Psychology education.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent.
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Psychology.
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching Psychology.
- Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive learning environment.
