Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver stimulating and engaging psychology lessons to students at KS4 and KS5.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages critical thinking, deep understanding of psychological theories, and real-world applications.
- Assess and monitor student progress through both formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to reach their full potential.
- Encourage independent thinking, research skills, and a passion for psychology both in and out of the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the school to share best practices and contribute to the academic success of the students.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and academic achievements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Psychology or a related field.
- A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching psychology at KS4 and KS5.
- Strong knowledge of psychological concepts, theories, and research.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Ability to create a supportive learning environment that encourages academic and personal growth.
