About the Art Teacher Role:
We are seeking an exceptional Art Teacher to join our dedicated Art department. The successful Art Teacher will have the opportunity to teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and a love for visual expression.
What you'll do as an Art Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and innovative Art lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and artistic abilities.
- Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills.
- Teach a variety of Art techniques and media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
- Encourage students to engage with Art history and contemporary art practices.
- Organise and participate in school exhibitions and art events.
- Assess and monitor student progress in Art, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and departmental resources, ensuring that our teaching remains current and engaging.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Art teaching.
What you'll need to be a successful Art Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Art at the secondary level.
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Art.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- A passion for Art and a commitment to inspiring students.
