Health and Social Care Teacher – Make a Difference
An Outstanding secondary school is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Social Care Teacher to join their vocational department. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the chance to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and compassion needed for a fulfilling career in the health and social care sector.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons in Health and Social Care, primarily to Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students.
- Cover a broad range of topics, including human lifespan development, health and well-being, social care services, communication skills, and ethical considerations.
- Prepare students for BTEC qualifications in Health and Social Care (and/or other relevant vocational qualifications).
- Develop students' practical skills and understanding of real-world care settings, potentially through work placements or simulations.
- Foster empathy, respect, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback.
- To be a teacher at a Outstanding level
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Health and Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at the secondary level, with a strong track record of success in delivering BTEC qualifications.
