As Director of QE & Site Leader, you will play a dual role:
• Lead the Quality Engineering function globally, embedding modern, automation-driven practices across the software lifecycle.
• Act as Site Leader for Mexico, building the team, culture, and operational footprint from the ground up.
This is a critical leadership position combining technical ownership, business operations, and talent strategy. You will help establish the foundation for long-term growth and cross-functional collaboration in the region.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Engineering Leadership
• Lead the global QE organization and drive the evolution toward automation-first and AI-enhanced testing
• Integrate DevOps, CI/CD, and quality metrics across the SDLC
• Champion a shift-left approach focused on early defect prevention and system resilience
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to ensure delivery of scalable, high-quality software
Site Development & People Leadership
• Build and scale the Mexico Center of Excellence, starting with engineering and expanding into cross-functional roles
• Recruit and retain top-tier technical talent in Guadalajara
• Foster a high-performance culture grounded in inclusion, continuous learning, and accountability
• Collaborate with global functional leads to ensure seamless integration of the Mexico team
Operational Oversight
• Oversee the day-to-day business operations of the Mexico site
• Manage local budget, P&L, and financial planning in alignment with corporate goals
• Ensure compliance with local and international legal, security, and governance standards
• Establish key performance metrics for site success
What You BringLeadership & Strategy
• 5+ years in senior leadership roles within a global SaaS or tech company
• Proven experience building and scaling technical teams in Mexico
• Strong grasp of the regional talent market and cultural dynamics
• Fluent in Spanish and English (business level required)
Technical Acumen
• 10+ years in software development, QA, or quality engineering
• Deep experience in CI/CD, DevOps, and test automation frameworks
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in QA is a strong plus
• Ability to drive architectural and toolset decisions at scale
Business & Communication
• Experience managing site-level operations and budgets
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and Operations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A builder mindset, able to launch and grow a new team with speed and focus
