Security Technician (DMP Specialist)
We are seeking an experienced security technician to join our team, specializing in the installation of security devices and structured cabling. A strong focus on DMP is mandatory, and candidates with a DMP certification will be given priority, offering long-term potential for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, and troubleshoot DMP security systems, including alarm panels, keypads, and peripherals.
- Pull, terminate, and secure cabling for security devices, ensuring all wiring meets industry and manufacturer standards.
- Mount, connect, and configure security devices such as motion detectors, door contacts, access control hardware, and CCTV cameras.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation for security system installations.
- Test and verify system functionality, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete installations within project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
Requirements
- Must have hands-on experience with DMP security systems, including installation, programming, and troubleshooting.
- DMP certification preferred or strong working knowledge of DMP equipment.
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience installing security devices and pulling cables.
- Ability to properly terminate and label Cat5/Cat6 cables, low-voltage wiring, and structured cabling.
- Experience with commercial security integration projects.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working on lifts.
- Availability for 40+ hours per week.
