About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across the secondary curriculum, covering a range of world religions, beliefs, and ethical systems.
- Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, discussion, and respectful dialogue.
- Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and other forms of assessment, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Religious Education or Theology.
- A good understanding of the secondary RE curriculum and effective teaching methodologies for a diverse student population.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate respectful discussions on sensitive topics.
- A passion for religious education and the ability to foster religious literacy and critical thinking.
