Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to enjoy learning.
- Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback and setting clear targets for development.
- Foster the development of critical thinking skills, independence, and creativity.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver a cohesive and effective curriculum.
- Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and well-being.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school activities as required.
Year 2 Teacher Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (preferably Year 2).
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods.
- Passion for creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible, team-oriented approach to teaching.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining high standards of teaching.
