Job Description
- Serve as project lead for new product introduction, quotation support, and engineering change actions.
- Formulate end-to-end manufacturing flow structures, incorporating assembly routings, work steps, and operator instructions for both new and legacy product lines.
- Integrate DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly) principles to ensure efficient production flow and cost-optimized designs.
- Contribute to RFQ efforts by evaluating equipment/tooling needs and generating accurate cycle time and cost projections (including NRE).
- Design process-specific assembly lines using custom-built fixtures, jigs, and production tools.
- Participate in layout planning for factory setup or optimization, automation deployment, and productivity enhancements.
- Manage the full prototype lifecycle: build planning, test execution, and data interpretation.
- Investigate failure modes through structured root cause analysis and adjust designs accordingly for production readiness.
- Prepare structured documentation including technical drawings, BOMs, process specifications, and assembly manuals.
- Offer technical advisory support to internal stakeholders and interface with customers when required.
Job Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Product Engineer or similar role.
- Advanced analytical and design skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry and market trends.
- A bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or similar field is preferred.
