KS2 Lead Teacher Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and support the KS2 team, promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement creative and effective lesson plans that engage and challenge KS2 students.
- Oversee the delivery of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions to support achievement.
- Develop and lead staff training and professional development opportunities within KS2.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and a love of learning.
- Regularly communicate with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives and collaborate with other leadership team members to drive school improvement.
- Be an active member of the school leadership team, participating in meetings, strategy planning, and school-wide activities.
KS2 Lead Teacher Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Significant experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes.
- Experience in a leadership role or with leading teams is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
