We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our inspirational secondary school in Hackney. If you're passionate about helping students thrive academically and personally, and want to be part of a supportive and dynamic team, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
- Work closely with class teachers to implement strategies that support the learning and development of all students.
- Assist in the delivery of lessons, offering targeted support to students to help them achieve their potential.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident, supported, and motivated.
- Support students' social and emotional development, encouraging positive behavior and self-esteem.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources for lessons.
- Monitor and track student progress, offering feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with secondary-aged students, preferably in a learning support or SEN setting.
- A proactive, caring, and flexible approach to working with students with diverse needs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A passion for education and a desire to make a real difference in students' lives.
- An understanding of how to support students with additional learning needs, both academically and socially.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
