An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our warm and high-achieving independent primary school in Westminster. This is a maternity cover position for one academic year, beginning in September 2025.

The Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced KS1 Teacher to deliver inspiring and creative lessons that spark curiosity and confidence in young learners. You will be responsible for the full planning, teaching, and assessment cycle, supported by a Teaching Assistant and a highly collaborative staff team.
You will:
- Teach a class of pupils in either Year 1 or Year 2 (to be confirmed)
- Plan engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Foster a warm, respectful classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with parents and colleagues
- Participate in school events, trips, and enrichment activities
About You
We are seeking a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has strong experience in Key Stage 1, ideally within the independent or preparatory sector
- Demonstrates creativity, confidence, and warmth in the classroom
- Has excellent subject knowledge and understanding of early primary pedagogy
- Is a reflective practitioner who values teamwork and continuous professional growth
