About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating diverse cultural perspectives.
- Plan and deliver lessons that foster language skills, cultural awareness, and communication proficiency, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including language technology and cultural activities.
- Assess student progress through oral presentations, written assignments, and language assessments, providing detailed feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the development of the Spanish curriculum, integrating current linguistic trends and cultural practices, and participate in departmental planning.
- Organise and lead language exchanges, cultural trips, and language-related activities, promoting student engagement and cultural immersion.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Spanish subject knowledge, including linguistics, literature, and culture.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Spanish to A-Level, with a focus on both language skills and cultural understanding.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and linguistic skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to fostering language proficiency and global awareness.
