A dynamic secondary school in Sutton is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join their thriving Physical Education department. The successful PE Teacher will have great skills.
You Are:
- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent).
- Experienced in teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4. (Experience with Key Stage 5 BTEC Sport or A-Level PE is desirable).
- Passionate about physical education and sport, with a strong understanding of various sporting disciplines.
- Able to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
- An excellent classroom/sports field practitioner with strong behavior management skills.
- A collaborative team player.
- Committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and student participation in sport.
- Dedicated to your own professional development.
Your Role Will Involve:
The PE Teacher will have the following responsibilities:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality PE lessons.
- Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Assessing student progress and providing regular feedback.
- Maintaining accurate student records.
- Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues within the PE department.
- Contributing to the development of the PE curriculum and extra-curricular sports program.
- Organizing and supervising school sports teams and fixtures.
- Communicating effectively with parents/guardians.
- Upholding all school safeguarding policies.
