About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications.
- Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their mathematical understanding.
- Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including interactive whiteboards, online learning platforms, and practical applications of maths, to enhance student learning.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys, fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and skills.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Maths examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and mathematical methodologies.
- Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and resources, integrating current mathematical research and real-world applications.
- Foster a love of maths in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider academic and extracurricular life of the school.
- Organize and lead maths-related activities, such as maths clubs and competitions, promoting mathematical engagement and problem-solving skills.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
- Demonstrated ability to teach Maths across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level.
- Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Maths examinations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- A passion for maths and a commitment to fostering mathematical inquiry.
- Ability to organize and lead maths-related activities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
