This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with a range of special educational needs in a nurturing and supportive environment, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Role Highlights:
- Full-time, permanent position at a welcoming SEN school in Hammersmith
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions to meet individual student needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported
- Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills, encouraging independence and confidence
- Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure effective support strategies are implemented
- Monitor student progress and contribute to their personal and academic development
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children with additional needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals
- A positive, proactive attitude to supporting children’s learning and development
- Enhanced DBS check required
