Our Yolo Investment Finance team is growing, and we are looking for a Financial and Management Reporting Accountant to join us on our journey!
The Financial and Management Reporting Accountant is responsible for preparing accurate financial statements and management reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role serves as a bridge between financial reporting and internal management analysis and as a support to the CFO.
Your day-to-day
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by reconciling accounts and reviewing journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory reports and liaise with external auditors during audits.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
- Develop and deliver timely management reports, including budget analyses, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and provide insights into financial performance.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial information and analysis.
- Identify trends and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with finance and non-finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective financial management.
- Provide financial guidance and support to departmental managers to aid in decision-making processes.
- Participate in projects aimed at improving financial systems and processes.
Your background and mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, CPA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in financial and management reporting roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
