A secondary school in Redbridge is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team from April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting secondary-aged students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Role Highlights:
- Full-time, permanent position at a well-established secondary school in Redbridge
- Teach and support secondary-aged students with a range of SEN, including ASC, SEMH, and more
- Plan, develop, and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students
- Collaborate with SENCOs, teaching staff, and support teams to create a holistic approach to learning
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to ensure student success
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence, and academic growth
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching in a secondary school, ideally with students with SEN
- Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, including behaviour management and differentiation
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting students
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Enhanced DBS check required
