Key Responsibilities for the Head of Music include:
- Lead and develop a high-performing Music department.
- Design and implement an inclusive, innovative Music curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and achievement in Music, setting high standards of attainment.
- Foster strong links with local musical institutions, community groups, and external partners.
- Lead CPD for Music staff, encouraging continuous professional growth.
- Oversee and manage Music resources, including instruments and technology.
We Require a Head of Music who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Has proven leadership experience in Music education.
- Holds a degree in Music or a related subject.
- Possesses strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Is passionate about Music and ensuring all students succeed in their musical education.
