Your Role as SENCO:
🔹 Lead and manage the SEN department, ensuring high-quality provision for students with additional learning needs.
🔹 Oversee the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs to support student success.
🔹 Provide guidance and support to staff on SEN best practices, differentiation, and creating inclusive learning environments.
🔹 Work collaboratively with the SLT, teachers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
🔹 Monitor and assess the progress of SEN students, ensuring interventions are effective and tailored to individual needs.
🔹 Lead on SEN policy development, promoting inclusive strategies across the school.
Who We’re Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete).
✅ Experience in a SENCO role or leading SEN provision in a secondary school.
✅ Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
✅ Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
✅ A commitment to promoting inclusion and ensuring equitable access to learning.
✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
