About the Food Technology Teacher Role
Do you have a passion for food and teaching? Join our dynamic team as a Food Technology Teacher at a well-established secondary school in Wolverhampton. You'll have the opportunity to teach students across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, covering areas such as food preparation, nutrition, and food science.
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will inspire students to develop a love for food, cooking, and nutrition, while teaching them the skills necessary to succeed in both practical and theoretical aspects of food technology.
Food Technology Teacher Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5
- Differentiate lessons to meet the individual needs of all students
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Create and maintain a positive learning environment
- Contribute to curriculum development and planning
- Encourage participation in extracurricular activities such as cooking competitions and events
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Passion for food technology and a strong understanding of food science
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Previous experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level
