Your Role as an English Teacher:
🔹 Plan and deliver engaging and adaptive English lessons for students who require additional support.
🔹 Differentiate the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum to meet students' individual needs.
🔹 Foster a positive and structured classroom environment, using effective behaviour management strategies.
🔹 Build strong relationships with students to boost confidence, motivation, and literacy skills.
🔹 Work closely with pastoral teams, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
🔹 Develop creative and real-life learning experiences to engage students in reading, writing, and communication.
🔹 Track student progress and implement intervention strategies where needed.
Who We’re Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
✅ Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4, ideally in a PRU, alternative provision, or SEN setting.
✅ A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.
✅ Strong knowledge of differentiation, behaviour management, and trauma-informed strategies.
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
