Are you a passionate and inspiring Teacher of Music with a desire to nurture students' musical talents and foster a love of music within a faith-based context? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual, including ECTs, to join our thriving Music department in a Catholic boys' school in Kensington & Chelsea.

About the Music Department:
The Music department is a dynamic and collaborative team with a shared passion for fostering a love of music in our students. We offer a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of musical styles and traditions, from classical to contemporary.
About the Role:
- Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and interest.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including practical activities, listening exercises, and composition workshops, to bring Music to life for students.
- Lead and direct school ensembles, such as choirs, bands, and orchestras.
- Organize and participate in school concerts and performances, providing students with opportunities to showcase their musical talents.
- Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
- Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Music curriculum remains relevant and inspiring.
- Foster a love of Music in students, encouraging them to explore different musical genres and develop their own musical voice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Music education.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent (or is eligible to apply).
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Music.
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching Music and a commitment to student success.
- Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Music and relevant examination specifications.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
