About the Role:
- Teach Economics at A Level, inspiring and challenging students to deepen their understanding of economic concepts and applications.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Support students in preparing for their A Level Economics examinations, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to succeed.
- Guide students in conducting independent research and completing challenging coursework, fostering their critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Economics curriculum remains relevant, engaging, and rigorous.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the college to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Economics education.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds QTS or equivalent (or is eligible to apply).
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Economics.
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching Economics and a commitment to student success.
- Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Has a good understanding of the A Level Economics specifications and assessment requirements.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
