About the Role:
* Provide strategic leadership and vision for the art department, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality and engaging art curriculum across all Key Stages.
* Lead and manage a team of specialist art teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
* Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to inspire creativity and develop artistic skills in students of all abilities.
* Oversee the maintenance and development of art facilities and resources, ensuring they meet the needs of our students and teachers.
* Plan and organize art exhibitions, workshops, and artistic events, showcasing student talent and fostering a love for art throughout the school community.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school community, promoting the value of art and creativity.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Art and Design and a proven track record of leadership in an art department.
* Experience teaching Art across all Key Stages, with a particular focus on A-Level.
* A strong understanding of diverse artistic mediums and techniques, and a passion for fostering creativity and innovation in young people.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* A commitment to the values and ethos of faith-based education and the ability to integrate faith perspectives into the art curriculum where appropriate
