Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging maths lessons to students at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages logical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning.
- Assess and track student progress through both formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident and motivated to engage with maths.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, ensuring that all learners can succeed.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- A formal teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching maths at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Strong knowledge of GCSE and A-Level maths content and exam specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students in mathematical discussions.
- A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential in maths.
