About the Physical Education Department:
The PE department is passionate and dedicated to fostering physical fitness, teamwork, and personal development. It has a strong history of success at both GCSE and A-Level and provides opportunities for students to engage in a variety of sports, from traditional team sports to more niche activities. The department prides itself on encouraging students to develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of physical activity.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Physical Education to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students, ensuring a challenging and engaging curriculum.
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Provide pastoral care as a form tutor, supporting students’ personal development and well-being.
- Participate in extracurricular sports activities and support school teams in competitions.
- Contribute to the development of the PE department's curriculum and teaching materials.
- Lead initiatives within the department, as part of your TLR responsibilities.
- Encourage and foster a culture of healthy living and sportsmanship across the school.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Physical Education to KS3, KS4, and KS5 students.
- TLR experience or leadership potential is highly desirable.
- A passion for sports and physical activity, with the ability to inspire students.

Salary:
The salary for this Physical Education Teacher position will be paid to scale MPS/UPS, with an additional TLR based on experience.
