The Moon team is responsible for the open-source product design system moon.io that helps us maintain the integrity of user experience and optimize design and development resources. We are free to take initiatives and we are always improving our design system.
We're on the hunt for a rockstar Front-End Developer to join our team and help build an awesome Design System using React and Elixir Phoenix LiveView. If you're passionate about creating slick, user-friendly interfaces and you're not afraid to dive into new tech, we want to hear from you!

✍️ Your daily tasks will be
- Crafting beautiful, responsive components and templates for open-source Design System
- Building, improving, and maintaining React components
- Getting your hands dirty with Elixir and Phoenix LiveView (don't worry if you're new to this - we'll help you learn it!)
- Collaborating with designers and other devs to create a cohesive user experience
- Writing clean, maintainable code your fellow devs will high-five you for
- Staying on top of front-end trends, best practices and industry standards.
✔️ What we expect from you
- Solid experience with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML (3+ years would be great)
- Proficiency with React and TypeScript
- Git and GitHub ninja skills
- Eye for detail when it comes to responsive design and accessibility
- Eagerness to learn new languages and frameworks (Elixir and Phoenix LiveView)
- Problem-solving skills that would make Sherlock Holmes jealous
- Team player vibes with the ability to tackle tasks solo when needed
- English skills good enough to chat about code and crack jokes in Slack.
✔️ Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with Elixir/Phoenix LiveView or any functional programming language
- Knack for building scalable and maintainable applications
- CI/CD know-how (GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Testing chops (Unit Testing, End-to-End Testing)
- Experience with TailwindCSS and Figma
- Familiarity and experience with Design Systems and Component Libraries
