Our client are a leading automotive company committed to revolutionizing the future of mobility through innovative battery pack solutions. We are currently seeking a dynamic Lead System DesignEngineer to spearhead the delivery of their software, electronic, and electrical hardware for a groundbreaking new battery pack project in collaboration with a key supplier.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the complete delivery of software, electronic, and electrical hardware for the new battery pack project.
- Manage stress and demonstrate flexibility in working hours to navigate critical project phases effectively.
- Take proactive initiatives and lead resolution efforts on various project-related topics.
- Ensure structured project management, synchronizing deliveries with the main project plan and addressing any deviations promptly.
- Manage change requests, including time, technique, and cost considerations.
- Cultivate and leverage a cross-functional network to facilitate collaboration between RD, purchasing, suppliers, production, and after-market stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar (equivalent experience considered).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in electrification.
- Proficiency in embedded electronics, including software download, diagnostics, and aftermarket manufacturing engineering.
- Knowledge of Li-ion batteries, battery systems, and power electronics.
- Previous experience in similar roles such as Product Owner or Project Leader.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Functional Safety and ISO-26262 standards.
- Familiarity with UNECE R155 Regulation, ISO 21434 Standard, and cybersecurity management processes.
- Experience with requirement handling processes, ideally using System Weaver.
- Previous exposure to the Volvo DVP process.
