The Role
As the Junior Data Analyst, you will be joining the dynamic and growing FPA team with the opportunity to take the lead on evolving and maintaining our Power BI reporting suite, as well as owning the underlying dataset. This is a highly visible role, with the opportunity to work with all levels of the organisation right up to the Senor Leadership Team (SLT). You’ll ensure the growing needs of the business are met, and learn to share insights not just data, looking beyond the numbers to tell the story and understand the whys!
In this role you’ll get to:
- Own our master Power BI dataset – implement best practices and efficiency optimisations, with a future-proof mindset as the business scales.
- Own the business-wide training agenda and be the first point of call for questions/ad hoc data pulls as our Power BI champion.
- Promote a culture of data-led decision-making and ensure data integrity/accuracy is prioritised.
- Drive continuous improvement of dashboards, ensuring our reporting meets the evolving needs of the business and remains user-friendly.
- Provide both always-on reporting and create monthly insight updates.
- Lead the creation of a new Operational dashboard following the recent go-live of our supply chain planning system.
- Support other projects ad hoc requests as required.
- Own data inputting for sell-through data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while implementing best practices to streamline processes as the business continues to grow.
What we are looking for in you:
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to improve processes and outputs.
- Desire aptitude to learn Power BI and SQL coding (training will be provided).
- Proficient Excel user eager to learn more.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
- Able to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards deadlines.
