We are looking for an experienced professional to manage admissions across our programs.
What does the job involve
- Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive admissions strategies to attract a diverse student body across all university programs.
- Lead the admissions team in achieving recruitment goals and improving the student enrollment process.
- Collaborate with university leadership to align admissions strategies with institutional goals and objectives.
- Recruitment and Outreach
- Design and execute effective student recruitment plans targeting various demographics and geographical regions. Travel is required.
- Organize and participate in recruitment events, college fairs, high school visits, and information sessions.
- Develop partnerships with high schools, language schools, and other educational institutions to enhance recruitment efforts.
- Marketing and Communication
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling admissions materials and campaigns.
- Utilize digital platforms and social media to engage prospective students and promote university programs.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication with prospective students throughout the admissions process.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze admissions data to identify trends, measure recruitment effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on admissions metrics and progress towards recruitment goals.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage and track student inquiries, applications, and enrollments.
- Team Management and Development
- Recruit, train, and supervise admissions staff, fostering a collaborative and goal- oriented work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
- Ensure the admissions team is knowledgeable about university programs and admission policies.
- Compliance and Policy Management
- Ensure admissions practices comply with university policies, accreditation standards, and legal requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices in higher education admissions.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with academic departments to understand program offerings and develop targeted recruitment strategies.
- Engage with alumni, current students, and other stakeholders to support recruitment initiatives.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, families, and counselors, providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Candidate of Ghanaian or African origin
- 8-12 years of progressive experience, with significant experience in education or related fields and a strong background in marketing and fundraising
- Good understanding of education institutions and systems in and around Ghana
- Minimum of Master’s degree in marketing or relevant fields
- Preferable familiarity with STEAM
- Firm understanding of how premium education is evolving to meet the needs of today’s students
- Genuinely passionate about, making quality education accessible to students in Africa to prepare them to compete on a global level
- Promoting the spirit of leadership and entrepreneurship amongst students
- Emphasizing soft skills and ethical values to build well-rounded students
- Focusing on hands-on and experiential training, to supplement the theory and hard skills, allowing students to practically apply their learning
- Based in Accra, Ghana or willing to relocate to Accra
- A leadership style that can be described as inclusive, motivational, and team-oriented leading by example through consistent demonstration of steadfast vision, strong emotional intelligence, integrity, and thoughtful decision-making
- A communication style that is clear, motivational and engaging, and starts with listening
