What Youll Be Doing
As a Junior Inventory Supply Planner, your role will focus on maintaining optimal inventory levels across multiple platforms to ensure timely order fulfilment and minimal stock issues. You will play a vital role in our inventory planning cycle and gain exposure to a broad range of functions in the supply chain and e-commerce space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory across e-commerce platforms, warehouses, and distribution centers to meet demand.
- Analyse sales trends, seasonal patterns, and promotional activity to support accurate stock replenishment.
- Work closely with purchasing, marketing, warehousing, and logistics teams to align stock levels with launches and campaigns.
- Maintain accurate stock records via inventory management systemsand ERP tools.
- Generate and interpret inventory reports (e.g., sell-through rates, aging stock, reorder points).
- Support forecasting improvement initiatives and fulfilment process optimisation.
- Participate in stock audits, cycle counts, and discrepancy analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement of tools and processes within the inventory planning function.
What Were Looking For
This is an entry-level position ideal for someone with a foundation in retail planning or merchandising whos looking to grow into the supply chain and FMCG space.
Preferred Profile:
- Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
- Confident in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/WMS software is a bonus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work across teams.
- Comfortable juggling multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Basic knowledge of FMCG product dynamics such as velocity and seasonality.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Takealot) is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of food products and perishables is a plus.
