About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons at A-Level, following exam specifications and incorporating advanced physical concepts and research findings.
- Plan and deliver lessons that foster analytical skills, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry, utilising a variety of teaching methods and resources, including advanced laboratory experiments and data analysis.
- Assess student progress through practical investigations, research projects, and written examinations, providing detailed feedback to support their development and ensure smooth transition mid-year.
- Contribute to the development of the Physics curriculum, integrating current physical research and advanced concepts, and participate in departmental planning.
- Organise and lead laboratory investigations, research projects, and science-related activities, promoting student engagement and scientific inquiry, with a focus on seamless integration for mid-year joiners.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Physics subject knowledge, including advanced physical concepts and laboratory techniques.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Physics at A-Level, with a focus on both theoretical concepts and practical applications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate high-achieving students, including those joining mid-year.
- Commitment to fostering scientific inquiry and research skills.
