DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and supervise a team of AV professionals, including engineers, specialists, and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
- Coordinate with global team leaders to ensure alignment of technical responsibilities across multiple locations.
- Manage the full lifecycle of AV systems—from concept and design to implementation, testing, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure AV solutions meet creative, functional, and operational requirements.
- Drive innovation through research and development of new AV technologies, workflows, and broadcast solutions.
- Ensure the standardization, scalability, and compatibility of AV systems across all sites.
- Establish and maintain technical standards, system documentation, and best practices for AV engineering and operations.
- Support infrastructure upgrades, technology integrations, and expansion projects across studio environments.
- Lead incident resolution efforts, including root cause analysis and implementation of long-term solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership during critical installations, escalations, and complex projects.
- Travel as needed to support deployments, provide training, and maintain alignment across global teams.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the AV function.
- Monitor and report on system performance and service levels to inform decision-making and future planning.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Native or fluent in English (C1 level), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
- Strong knowledge of imaging principles (e.g., aperture, shutter speed, ISO, lenses) used in cinema and broadcast settings.
- Solid background in electronic engineering and experience with AV signal transmission and communication systems.
- Proficient in the operation of professional video cameras and production switching equipment.
- Experience with virtual studio environments, real-time compositing, and chroma key workflows.
- Strong understanding of NDI and SDI signal infrastructures, including troubleshooting and routing.
- Sufficient color vision and hearing for assessing audio and video quality in broadcast environments.
- Proficiency in IT systems and project management, particularly within AV or broadcast technology domains.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills in cross-functional team environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure in live production contexts.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage shifting priorities and time zones.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
