About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Drama Teacher to join our vibrant Performing Arts department at a leading independent school. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and nurture students across KS3 to KS5, helping them develop confidence, creativity, and a passion for theatre. The successful candidate will play a key role in both the academic and extracurricular life of the school, leading engaging lessons and supporting dynamic school productions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inspiring drama lessons to students across KS3 to KS5, fostering creativity and performance skills.
- Organise and direct school productions, encouraging students to explore their theatrical abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them develop their confidence and technique.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to express themselves.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Drama curriculum and maintain high standards in Performing Arts.
- Lead or contribute to extracurricular activities, such as drama clubs, workshops, and theatre trips.

About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related subject.
- A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent).
- Experience teaching Drama across KS3 to KS5, with a passion for engaging students in the creative arts.
- Strong communication, organisational, and directing skills.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.
