Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our nurturing specialist school in Southwark. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Spanish to students with special educational needs, helping them develop their language skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Spanish lessons for students with a range of special educational needs.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure they can access the curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and motivated to learn.
- Foster students’ love for languages and encourage them to achieve their personal best in Spanish.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other teaching staff to ensure holistic support for students.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student development and well-being.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Spanish, ideally to students with special educational needs.
- A creative and adaptable teaching style, with the ability to differentiate lessons effectively.
- A patient, compassionate approach to working with students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
